3. Cosmetics Sales of Department Stores
According to the department sales survey by Japan Department Sales Association, cosmetics sales had been on a consistent increase since 2012, partly due to the influx of foreign visitors to Japan, especially from Asian countries, but has declined significantly since 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. (Fig.6)
